Hole Risk Assessment
1st. While teeing off the 1st tee be aware of people on the chipping and putting areas as well as golfers playing the 6th. Take care when retrieving balls and when walking near ponds and ditches on the left hand side of the lakes. Lifebuoys are located on both these lakes. Be aware of golf balls being sliced from the 6th hole.
2nd. Caution should be taken when retrieving balls from the ditch on the left hand side of the hole.
3rd. Take care when walking up banks of the tee especially the medal tee. Be aware of golfers playing the 5th hole and from balls being played from the 5th hole. Care should be taken retrieving balls from hedges and ditches on this hole. Be aware of members of the public crossing this hole using the public footpath.
4th. Care should be taken near the ditch running across the hole.
5th. Be aware of golfers playing the 3rd hole, 7th green. Be aware of of players on the 5th tee green and 8th tee area to the left. Take care when near hedges and ditches. be aware of golf balls straying from the 3rd hole. Be aware of members of the public crossing this hole using the public footpath.
6th. Care should be taken when retrieving balls from the 6th pond and Ladies should take care when walking to their tee around the pond. There is a Lifebuoy situated by the Ladies tee. Be aware of golfers playing the 1st hole.
7th. Drive should not be taken if aiming for the green until the bell has rung indicating the green is clear. Care must be taken when retrieving balls from the pond and surrounding areas.
8th. Be aware of balls coming from the 5th tee. be careful when walking around or near the pond on the right at the start of this hole. There is a Lifebuoy should it be required.
9th. Be aware of golfers starting on the 1st tee putting on the 6th green and ‘FORE’ should be shouted if the ball crossed the hedge to the left as the green keeping staff shed is situated here.
10th. Be aware of golfers playing the 15th hole to the right. Caution should be taken when retrieving balls from the pond and ditches on this hole.
11th. Caution should be taken when walking up the steps and banks rising up to the 11th tee and green.
12th. You must use the stone path down to this tee, failure to do so can cause injury. Care should be taken when playing the 12th hole especially around the green due to steep banks.
13th. Be aware of golfers playing and hitting from the 14th hole and public footpath.
14th. Be aware of golfers playing and hitting from the 13th hole, caution should be taken on steep banks around 14th green.
15th. You must shout ‘FORE’ if your ball travels toward the 10th green, 11th tee area to the right of this hole. Be aware of balls being hit from the 10th hole.
16th. Take care if retrieving balls from the 16th pond and the banks are very slippery in the wet.
17th. Be aware of golfers on the 15th green. Take care when retrieving balls from the pond on the right and ditches on the left. Caution must be taken when passing through the hedges and crossing the main entrance roadway to the 18th tee.
18th. Do not play if there are cars driving down the main roadway from the car park. Take care on steep banks around the green.
Putting Green and Chipping Green
Be aware that while chipping and putting, balls can be hooked or sliced from off the 1st Medal tee.
Car Park, Main Entrance and Walkways
Caution must be taken when walking to and from the Clubhouse as these area are used by HGV delivery lorries, vans and cars.
